For many decades nuclear power has proved its efficiency and has become an integral part of the global energy balance.

The world now has 440 operating power units. Most of the power units are operated in the U.S. (99), France (58), Japan (48) and Russia (34).

The total nuclear power plant generation capacity is over 376 GW. According to forecasts, by 2030 the global nuclear power capacity will increase by 88 % (in a high-case scenario).

Active nuclear reactors contribute to global energy supply, promote economic growth and allow to avoid the emission of 700 million tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).
