Russia and Rwanda signed the roadmap to build cooperation in the peaceful uses of atomic energy

On the May 16, 2019, in Moscow, the roadmap for establishing Russian-Rwanda cooperation in the peaceful uses of atomic energy was signed.

From ROSATOM the document was signed by Deputy Director General of ROSATOM Nikolai Spasskiy and from the Ministry of the Republic of Rwanda and Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the Russian Federation Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya.

The document defines specific measures until the end of this year which relate to the start of the project to build the Nuclear Science and Technology Center based on a Russian-design research reactor in Rwanda. The Rwanda staff training in Russia is separately stated as key task.
